Panama has 7 Chambers of Commerce organizations: U.S., Canada, Colombia, Germany, Spain, Israel, and Panama.  Here is some information regarding them:

AMERICA (USA)

Panama American Chamber of Commerce (PANAMCHAM) started in 1997 for the purpose of being the primary educator, advocate, and business catalyst for bilateral commerce between Panama and the United States.

The organization’s stated objectives are:

  • Promoting commerce, trade and investment between the United States and the Republic of Panama.
  • Promoting and protecting free enterprise and trade promotion agreements.
  • Collaborating with both the U.S. Government and the Government of Panama to
    protect and promote members business interests.
  • Encouraging high ethical standards in bi-lateral business relations.
  • Encouraging PanAmCham members to become socially responsible companies and individuals in the economic and social development of Panama.
  • Maintaining relations with organizations with similar objectives, such as the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the Association of American Chambers of Commerce in Latin America.
  • Educate and being a primary source of information of economic and trade
    developments in both countries.

Various committees exist for members to participate in including Electrical Energy, Tourism, Environment, Recycling, Legislation & Taxation, Trade & Investment, Health, Real Estate, Transportation, Hydrocarbons, ICT Services, and Professional Services.

Information regarding a number of Trade subjects is available for members including The USA – Panama Free Trade Agreement, Doing Business in Panama, Investing in Panama, and Exporting from Panama. PanAmCham also published newsletters, a magazine, and sponsors many forums, seminars, and events.

Membership Dues start at $700 + $100 (one time initiation) for a Silver membership allowing one representative (additional representatives can be named for an extra $100).  The Gold membership is $1,000 + $100 (one time initiation) allowing 2 representatives.  The Platinum membership is $1,450 + $100 (one time initiation) allowing 3 representatives.

CANADA

Panama-Canada Chamber of Commerce (PanCanada) exists to promote the growth of exports between Canada and Panama.  In addition, the chamber promotes an increase of investments in real estate, tourism, mining, banking & finance. PanCanada also acts as a facilitator between Canadian and Panamanian companies along with individuals seeking trade, business, or investment opportunities. PanCanada organizes events in Canada and Panama promoting trade, business, and investments along with building a network of communications between the two countries.

Membership Dues are $250 for individuals, $500 for a small enterprise, $750 for a medium enterprise, and $1,000 for a large enterprise.

The Chamber of Commerce of Colombia – Panama is located on the 8th floor in the World Trade Center in the Marbella district in Panama City.

reference was found in the Israel Latin American Chamber of Commerce’s website

PANAMA

The Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture of Panama (CCIAP) has been in existence for 97 years. According to its Acting President Jose Luis Ford CCIAP has worked for nearly a century promoting and defending free enterprise, economical growth, and contributing to a robust society. CCIAP sponsors seminars, forums, expositions, and events promoting Panama’s commercial, agricultural, and industrial sectors.   Their website offers publications regarding news, opinions, board reports, communications blog, and a business link magazine.  Their website also provides useful information regarding economic indicators, business surveys, consumer confidence index, progress reports on international negotiations, Panama laws & regulations, a legal bulletin, and road projects.   The website also provides useful information regarding starting a business in Panama, contacts, investing, importing foods, environment, and business contacts.
